FijiPhotos.net is an eclectic array of travel photos taken by Rob Kay, author of Lonely Planet Guides to Fiji and Tahiti as well as Fijiguide.com. Some of the photos have appeared in his books and the website. Others have either been published here for the first time or are photos belonging to other photographers and collections. All are copyrighted and should not be reproduced without permission.
Rob Kay first visited Fiji in 1979 as a freelancerfor the San Francisco Chronicle Foreign service and subsequently published three editions of the Lonely Planet guide to Fiji. Fijiguide.com was one of the first web sites to Fiji and was originally published in 1995. This photo gallery offers readers a wonderful primer to the Fiji Islands which the Fiji Visitors Bureau used to tell us was "The Way the World Should Be". Alas those innocent days are gone. Despite the political problems that have plagued Fiji in recent decades, it's still a warm, friendly place. The collection of photos has been arranged by geography that encompasses the major tourist destinations as well as the most important cities. |
